About Minerva Books

Minerva Homeopathic Books was begun by Stewart McOwan, then a homeopathic student, in the early days of the modern resurgence of Homeopathy. Back in those heady exciting days there was a real scarcity of homeopathic books and Minerva promptly put together the largest list available in the U.K.

We started as a mail order company in Fulham, London and expanded to a shop and clinic in Hammersmith. On 20 June 2006 we moved to a large old vicarage on the edge of Salisbury Plain.

We have always preferred the personal touch selling our literature but with our move out of London we have now decided that it really is time to provide a full internet presence. This will be fully functioning very soon to allow online shopping 24 hours a day for the people who don’t want to talk to us.

One of earlier choices of web address announced long ago, was snapped up on expiry by another bookseller who caught us napping, but you will find us on www.minervabooks.co.uk Please note that www.minervabooks.co.uk is the ONLY Minerva website. The other was unfortunately taken and this has created confusion for many of our customers.

As always we welcome honest feedback from all customers. Our intention has always been to sell books with integrity. If you want the truth we will let you in on it as best we can. We welcome the opportunity to give advice as all customers are different with their own requirements.

We have been sending books out in the post many years and pride ourselves in packing them efficiently. Postage is kept to the minimum - Just £3.95 for a 48 hour ‘signature-on-delivery’ parcel anywhere in England, Wales and Southern Scotland. Small packets under 1.25kg will be sent for the price of the stamps with a minimum £1.25 postal charge.

Overseas orders are also welcome - Please feel free to get in contact for exact prices.

We take credit cards, Switch, cheques and postal orders. Books of course, remain the property of Minerva Books until they are paid for.

Whenever possible Minerva will beat any price (within reason) quoted elsewhere in the United Kingdom. If you believe a better price exists elsewhere please let us know. We will do our best even when a title is being 'dumped / remaindered' onto the market - It is easier now that we no longer have our expensive West London shop.
