A new smaller edition of the Synthesis Repertory is expected late December. This will cater for those wanting the basics rather than the more obscure newer provings. Cost will be £65 and will include a CD-ROM.

We have Sadhana Thakkar’s Insights Into the Consciousness of Snake Remedies in at £34.95. This includes Lachesis, Crotalus Horridus, Crotalus Cascavella, Cenchris Contortrix, Bothrops, Toxicophis, Vipera, Bitis, Daboia, Naja, Elaps, Bungarus, Dendroaspis and Hydrophis.

We are also offering the new second edition of Mati Fuller’s ‘Beyond the Veil of Delusions – Understanding Relationships Through Homeopathy’ at £24. As at Nov 2007 you are unlikely to find these two books elsewhere in the UK.

Rajan Sankaran is as prolific as ever and has recently produced his Sensation Refined (£44) which aims to tie up the loose ends of his earlier Sensation in Homeopathy (£45). He has also authored three Insights Into Plants volumes. The new third volume is almost as expensive as the first two together. Even more titles are promised by Rajan ‘Joe 90’ Sankaran in 2008. Margins on these books are very low because of the high price from Mumbai, India. We are ashamed to give the new price of the easily scratched, black glossy Schema which looks a sorry mess in just five minutes. One American bookseller is urging a Sankaran boycott! We actually considered it as a serious option. Dr Sankaran’s books are Indian books with a very cleverly restricted supply.

Steve Smith has revamped his very popular Medical Homeopathy and for the esoteric crowd, Grahame Martin has magicked up his Chakra Prescribing and Homeopathy (£19.95)

Ellen Kramer who runs the College of Practical Homeopathy has been busier than ever with her Practical Guide to Methods of Homeopathic Prescribing (£9.95)

Frans Vermeulen is planning to cover the universe and everything in existence with his Spectrum Materia Medica. So far he has covered bacteria and viruses in Monera (Volume 1) and fungi in Fungi (Volume 2). Not surprisingly, he has had to give up his practice to accomplish this ambitious project. It is rumoured that he has also given up gardening, holidays, cooking, shaving, washing and his entire social life.

John Saxton (President of the Faculty of Homeopathy) has been beavering away at his Miasms as Practical Tools (£14.95). It is indeed very readable.

David Owen has compiled Principles and Practice of Homeopathy – The Therapeutic and Healing Process which encapsulates philosophy, case analysis, case management, material medica and the receiving of the patient’s story. Contributors also include David Lilley on miasms, Misha Norland on signatures, Tony Pinkus on pharmacy, Jeremy Sherr on provings, and Phil Edmunds on computer software. £39.95

Robin Murphy is now on his third edition of both his material medica and repertory. These are now entitled Nature’s Materia Medica and Homeopathic Clinical Repertory. These are both £62.95. Nature’s Materia Medica now has an extra 200 remedies. Many of these are gems, trees and also some Scholten material.

Robin Murphy’s third edition Homeopathic Clinical Repertory has various new sections : Cancer, Clinical, Fainting, Gallbladder, Speech, Spleen, Taste, Time, Vaccinations and Weakness, The old chapters, Blood, Diseases, Emergency and Nerves have been merged into a new Clinical section.

Colin Griffith of the Guild of Homeopaths has sprung two large hardbacks from his wizard’s hat. These are The New Materia Medica and The Companion to Homeopathy. (£35 each) The New Materia Medica contains 36 remedies that you not find in any conventional material medica. E.g. Goldfish, Emerald, Berlin Wall, Earthworm, Clay, Thymus, Silverfish, Lotus, Spectrum, Chalice Well Water, Moonstone, Sandalwood, Ruby, Winchelsea Sea Salt, Ash and lots of trees.
